American politicians like to stir up prospective recruits for our imperialist wars. There are more poor people that are treated badly in the United States than there are people in Afghanistan. Our rulers have no regard for anything but their own power–the weak, both inside America and outside America, are at the mercy of the strong. This is the old way of doing things. Americans wanted to change the old ways, once. Is the desire for a new order of things still alive in America? (To be continued…)

the women of afghanistan did nit know how good they had it under the soviets. if only there could be both sovereignty and rights for women.
